Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: I plan to dress becomingly for MendelNet 2018. Is there any chance of being captured on video or camera to disseminate my rocket science performance to colleagues, friends, and loved ones?
A: Absolutely. As always, we tend to cover the event extensively both in stills and video. However, as we have to comply with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), please be aware that by entering into the Great Hall of Mendel University in Brno (Zemědělská 1665/1, 613 00 Brno), in which both opening and closing ceremonies are to be held, as well as in all rooms where contributions are to be delivered, you agree you have understood the aforementioned.
Q: Can I change the contribution’s title, or its abstract, in MendelNet conference system (Actavia)?
A: No. The contribution’s title (or abstract) you used, when submitting the paper, cannot be amended by an author (any effort to change all mandatory fields generates a system warning). Only the system administrator can make the changes; he does so only after paper is accepted for publication (after successful formal and scientific review) as both title and abstract can be altered several times during the review process.
Q: What are the conference languages?
A: The conference languages are English, Czech, and Slovak. However, as the event is aimed at international scientific community, it is recommended to present in English (see for Instructions/Instructions for conference participants/Registration, oral presentation, conference language, contributions limit).
